For the past year or so I have been obsessed with mini scrapbook albums, making them for my self and for my etsy shop, for swaps and for ebay. I've been so busy with them that I haven't made any 12x12 LO in a very long time and I really miss that. Recently, as a 2006 Alum of Stacy Julian's Library of Memories class, I was invited to take it again in its new revised version called Finding Photo Freedom. And that's when it dawned on me that I have been neglecting my 12x12 albums. The class is wonderful for anyone who has and takes tons of photos, and really who doesn't? If you scrapbook and have piles of photos this class is must take! One of the things we talk about in the class is doing things in small chunks of time, or one bite at a time. And the I discovered Bite Sized Scrapbooking. It's a sketch, a recipe, a starter for you page, in three easy bites.
I tried out one recipe for a 2 photo story.
Bite 1 : two horizontal 4x6 photos
I went to my Library of Memories storage binders and pulled three random sets of 2 photos stories,
Bite 2 : Supplies
You get a list of paper sizes and embellishments you need. (great way to use up those scraps!)
Bite 3 : Sketch
and in one afternoon, I got three great pages done (and that was after washing floors and two loads of laundry!!) I love this system because it limits what you need to create the pages so you get the pages done really fast without getting distracted by all the supplies in your stash and without a huge mess to clean up after (because if you're like me you usually pull out way more stuff than you need to complete your project)
Here are my three pages
